Unofficial Bluetooth remote for a Sleep Number iLE split king

The official Sleep Number app holds the Bluetooth link, then flakes and wants a reset. iLE Remote talks straight to the BAM under the mattress using the reverse-engineered MCR protocol. Same bed. No official UI.
- Sleep Number 5–100 on each side
- Head and foot sliders (12-byte official SET)
- Presets: Flat, Zero G, Snore, Read, Watch TV, Favorite
- Underbed light, optional foot warming
- After one side is Flat, lowering the other side uses Flat — FlexFit will not SET the second head down
Force-stop Sleep Number first. If their app is running, this one cannot connect. Built and tested on an iLE Flextop King / FlexFit 3. Unofficial. Not affiliated with Sleep Number.
Install
- Download iLE-Remote.apk on the Pixel
- Install, then grant Nearby devices
- Settings → Apps → Sleep Number → Force stop
- Open iLE Remote → Connect (it remembers the BAM MAC)
Privacy
Control is local Bluetooth. Optional SleepIQ sign-in uses the same unofficial cloud API Home Assistant uses. Credentials stay in encrypted storage on the phone.
